#YouDoNew - eBoot Camp
This week I started something new that's as scary as it is exciting - a new job!
For me there are few things more frightening than starting a new job. You've got to get familiar with the environment, the workflow, the job itself, the boss, the coworkers, the commute....Everything. I often find it overwhelming, and unfortunately I also have a habit of picking up mcjobs that don't last very long.
But this time a lot of things are different! For one, this gig is finally something of a big kid job. Score! (Maybe now I can finally start making some progress on those student loans?) Also this is a remote, work-from-home kind of job, which is totally right up my alley. I mean, I can go all day without putting on pants if I want, what's not to love? Also there's no commute, and I can work in ways that are most effective and efficient for me, double score! The title is "Digital Marketing Specialist" with eBoot Camp, "a full service social media and digital marking agency" based out of the U.S. So it also pays in American dollars. Triple score!
eBoot Camp works with a number of clients, including Dale Carnegie Training, Expert Title Insurance Agency, and Goldberg's Bagels. The company has been in business since 2009, and is headed by Corey Perlman, who is also a public speaker and author of eBoot Camp: Proven Internet Marketing Techniques to Grow Your Business.
My involvement with the company came about in a rather unexpected way, when I was introduced to Corey to potentially help with some other work at a very opportune moment.
I'm starting out slow as I get comfortable with eBC's various clients, posting guidelines, and posting schedules, but so far this is a great team to be a part of, and I'm very excited for the opportunity to work with an established online marketing company for the first time!
