An honours graduate of The Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology, I'm now back in Essex County and getting right into things.
Having in the past worked stage for Fog Hat and Gord Downie, I'm now available for stage management and sound engineering at live events in Windsor.
After recording with AFallenHero and Single Mothers, I'm here to help you put your sound to CD, running a Pro Tools 9 rig with an assortment of microphones, plugins, and outboard gear.
Currently working with Gavin Booth to help bring his films to life with sound, I've still got time to help with your video project as well, with remote recording and post production capabilities.
I am most often found lurking around Phog and The Loop Building, behind either the soundboard or my camera, with the results of the latter often posted here for you to check out.
In my spare time I'm writing articles for Windsorite.ca, usually on arts related topics, or creeping around CJAM 99.1 FM.
I also have a blog, Letters to the Listeners, which is periodically updated with everything from my take on new software to how I felt about a show that happened the night before, and, on occassion, even some photos of the bands performing.
The Media Project Gallery is where I display some of my recording and mixing work. With frequent updates, it doesn't hurt to keep checking back to see what new tunes I've posted. You can also get access to some examples of my sound design work in the copyright protected section of the site by sending an e-mail to Lauren@LaurenHedges.com.
The Windsor Scene is a weekly radio show on CJAM 99.1FM [www.cjam.ca], broadcasting live from the basement of the CAW Student Centre at the University of Windsor every Wednesday from 5 until 6:30 p.m. And it's hosted by yours truly.
The radio show highlights the happenings in the city's music and arts community and spins some of the best tracks the region has to offer.
